Access to C.E.E.O.L.
If your use of this web site
is not affiliated with a company or library, you can register as an individual. As a registered user,
you are always free to choose documents from the entire stock
and pay only for documents you wish to download.
Why Should I Register?
Traditional subscription of print journals is expensive, and even if a good many of periodicals will concern you, finally your decision will be made for just a few among them. Unlike the traditional model a user account at C.E.E.O.L. always provides you access to the entire stocks of the archive, so you can assemble your personal archive by selecting from all our publications (including the e-books) exactly those documents you want to read. And of course you pay only what you read.
Prepaid Account
Your personal account will be a prepaid account. The credit amount
on your account should be determined by the frequency of downloads
you wish to make on an average, but with a minimum opening credit
amount of € 20,– (twenty Euro), which is a condition
of the GZS Germany ("Gesellschaft fuer Zahlungsysteme") payment gateway.
Each document acquisition reduces your credit by the total amount of documents
you have purchased.
What are the advantages of using the Prepaid account?
The prepaid account offers a cost-effective, convenient payment alternative for online purchases. Credit cards are unprofitable for small purchases, as low transaction fees attract high processing costs. The introduction of the prepaid account makes small-volume purchases an affordable alternative.
It eliminates the need to transact with a payment gateway every time you make a purchase, resulting in substantial cost advantage and shorter lead time to order access and fulfillment.
Thus, one of the compelling advantages of using the prepaid account, is that you substantially scale down your C.E.E.O.L. transacting costs, as you do not have to interact with the Payment Gateway, every time you make a purchase. Instead, a purchase debit is activated on your prepaid account and you move unimpeded to your next C.E.E.O.L. article download. You save on time and effort expended in repetitive payment procedures. This in turn leads to faster order fulfillment and access.

The payments can be made by credit card (AmericanExpress, Eurocard/Master
Card, Visa) using the secure connection provided by the GZS Germany
("Gesellschaft fuer Zahlungsysteme") payment gateway, which does
not transmit your credit card data to the C.E.E.O.L. server.
For registered users from Germany, Direct Debit (elektronisches
Lastschriftverfahren) is available. |

C.E.E.O.L.
After the payment transaction has been completed, you will find
the documents ready for downloading under the menu "My C.E.E.O.L.".
In "My Archive" the documents you have paid for once,
will always be at your disposal to be downloaded again without
additional payment. Your personal document archive is therefore
always accessible.
In "My Account" you will be able to see your deposit
and balance, refill your prepaid account, or change your email
address and password. |
